Rates, Policies, Rules, and Safety Information
for the Cottage at the Seely House

We hope that you enjoy your stay at the Cottage at the Seely House.

RATE:  The Cottage rents for $139 per night plus tax, payable only by cash or check.

For your safety and convenience, we request that you observe the following rules and safety information:

RESERVATION POLICIES

  • A credit card number is normally sufficient to reserve a room. Payment will be made when you arrive with cash or check only.

  • If you cancel within 10 days of your stay, we will bill your card for 80 percent of the rate, unless we can rebook the Cottage.

COTTAGE RULES

  • The Cottage does not accommodate children.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the Cottage. You may smoke on the front porch or in the yard.
  • No candles are allowed in the Cottage. The Cottage lighting is designed for a romantic evening.
  • You may bring your own bottle of wine or champagne, but please limit your consumption for safety.
  • The yards around both the House and Cottage are available for your use.
  • Water, soft drinks, and popcorn are available in the Cottage. Various instant coffees, teas, and hot chocolates are available in the Cottage
  • Breakfast will be served at 9:00 am unless other arrangements are made. Checkout time is 11:00 am unless other arrangements are made. Please leave your key in the cottage or with us.

FIRE SAFETY

  • A fire extinguisher is near the front door of the Cottage. Please note its location.
  • A flashlight is available in the top drawer of the dresser in the bedroom.
  • If the electricity goes off, there is an automatic light in a wall plug. It may be taken out and used as a flashlight.

TORNADO SAFETY

Tornado watches and warnings are given on the TV and radio. During storm season in the spring, weather information is provided on local TV stations 4, 5 or 9.

In case of an imminent tornado threat, the local siren will sound. If you hear the siren, please proceed directly to the storm shelter in the back yard. If you need a light, take the flashlight in the top dresser drawer or the light in the wall plug (it will go on when removed from the plug). Please assist others entering the shelter and make room for them. A radio and blankets are located in the shelter.
