Events and Attractions
in Guthrie

Following is a quick link to the list of events, attractions, and entertainment in Guthrie.

Reflecting the growing reputation of Guthrie as a vacation, holiday, and shopping destination, the City of Guthrie was recently designated one of the Dozen Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In 1999, Guthrie was officially designated a National Historic Landmark in recognition of the restoration of the elegance of its late nineteenth and early twentieth century architecture. Guthrie is the largest contiguous Historic District in the United States with 2,169 buildings, 1,400 acres, and 400 city blocks. Shopping or strolling through the shops in the downtown historic district is a nostalgic trip back to the charm of the territorial and early statehood days. The stores in Guthrie off a wide variety of antiques, collectibles, art, gifts, unusual fabrics, signs, and even classic cars. Festivals and events scattered throughout the year provide a good excuse for a short vacation not too far from home. And that's why Guthrie is "the Bed and Breakfast Capital of Oklahoma."
